Assembly and release of a marine set

1. Electrical load, engine room dimensions and the access route are agreed and the engine model is fixed.
2. Engine and alternator are received and checked against that specification.
3. The set is assembled on its base frame and aligned.
4. Sea-water circuit, heat exchanger and exhaust arrangement are fitted and tested.
5. Panel wiring and protection settings are completed and checked.
6. The set is run on the test bench and its electrical and protection settings are verified.
7. The unit is cased with waterproof cloth and shipped with its documentation.

Can the sea-water circuit on board be reused?

Where the pipe sizes, strainer position and discharge are suitable for the new set, the heat exchanger arrangement is matched to the existing circuit. Send the arrangement and it will be checked against the selected engine.
