Buyers who install several sets — a rental fleet, a chain of workshops, a rural electrification programme — run into a cost problem that a single-site buyer never sees. The purchase price is only the first invoice; the second and third are spares and service labour, and they arrive for years. A Shanghai Diesel Engine (SDEC) platform changes that arithmetic, because consumables and common wear parts are stocked widely rather than sitting at the end of a long lead time.

- One service routine across the range. Because the same control and protection logic is used on the small and the large sets, maintenance procedures can be written once and applied to the whole fleet.
- Parts that travel shorter distances. Common SDEC filters and wear parts are stocked in many markets, which shortens the wait when a set is down.
- Ratings that step up with the site. The series covers a wide window, so a customer who outgrows a 40 kVA unit can be supplied with the next frame without changing supplier or panel concept.
- Open frame or canopy for the same machine. A plant-room installation takes the open skid; a boundary installation takes the canopy, with the same spares list either way.

How an SDEC set is built and checked
- Engine and alternator arrive and are verified against the order configuration.
- The two units are coupled on the base frame and alignment is adjusted.
- Fuel, coolant and exhaust circuits are assembled and leak-tested.

- The set is run on the test bench and governor, voltage and protection settings are verified.

Which output should I order if my load is around 40 kW?
Send the equipment list with the rated kW of each item and the starting method of the largest motor. The set is then sized on the starting current rather than on the running total alone.
Is 400/230 V available, or can I have 440 V?
400/230 V, three-phase, four-wire at 50 Hz is the standard build for this platform. Other three-phase voltages such as 440 V are produced on request; state the destination country and the supply arrangement when you enquire.
Can two sets be run together?
Yes, when they are ordered with parallel operation and synchronising control. Say so at the enquiry stage, because the panel and the protection settings differ from a single-set installation.
How often does the set need servicing?
Intervals follow the engine's own maintenance schedule for the fuel, lubricant and operating conditions on your site. We supply the schedule that matches the engine model ordered; it is not a figure we can fix in advance for every site.
What are your MOQ, lead time and payment terms?
These depend on the rating, quantity, destination and payment method, so they are stated in the quotation. Provide the quantity and the port and we will quote on that basis.
