A domestic engine platform for buyers who weigh delivered cost, not just list price
On mid-size projects the purchase price decides far less than buyers expect. What decides is the landed cost of the machine, the availability of parts in the destination country, and how quickly a set can be put back into service when it stops. That is where a Yuchai-powered set fits: the engine is produced in volume in China, which keeps both the machine and its consumables in a workable cost band for buyers running several units or replacing equipment in a growing site.
We build these sets from about 25 kW up through the mid-size range, with the enclosure, panel and cooling specified for the duty the site actually presents.

Where a mid-size set of this kind earns its cost back
- Consumables are easy to source in volume. Filters and typical wear parts for this engine family are produced and distributed widely, which shortens downtime on sites far from the supplier.
- The rating is set from the load you send. For a 56 kW requirement, the engine model and alternator frame are confirmed against the connected equipment rather than against a catalogue page.
- Two build forms from the same machine. A plant room takes the open skid; a boundary position takes a canopy, with the same spares list either way.
- Panel logic follows the staffing of the site. Attended installations take a manual panel; unattended ones take automatic start with an ATS interface.
- Cooling is specified for the destination. Sets going to hot inland sites are not ordered with a cooling package intended for a temperate workshop.
- Export packing suits single-unit shipments. Sets travel cased with waterproof cloth, which protects a machine shipped as break-bulk cargo.

Jiangsu Qingzhiteng Power Equipment Co., Ltd manufactures diesel and gas generator sets in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, with an inland diesel range of 3 kVA to 3000 kVA and a marine range of 12 kW to 500 kW. Low-noise units, sets with ATS, container builds, parallel systems and remote monitoring configurations are produced in the same plant, and the company exports to more than 80 countries across five continents.
Assembly and inspection sequence
- Engine and alternator are received and verified against the order configuration.
- The two units are coupled on the base frame and alignment is set.
- Cooling, fuel and exhaust circuits are assembled and leak-tested.
- The panel is wired and continuity-checked against the panel drawing.
- The set runs on the test bench and governor, voltage and protection settings are verified.
- Canopy, access doors and paint are completed where ordered.
- The unit is cased with waterproof cloth and shipped with its packing list.

Sets were required to start pump motors reliably through the dry season. Frame selection was based on the motor starting current supplied by the buyer, not on the running kW alone.

An unattended installation needed automatic start on mains failure, so the set was built with an ATS interface and a panel the building staff could read without training.

The plant room already provided separation from neighbours, so an open-frame machine was supplied and the canopy was not specified.
Questions buyers ask about this range
How is a 56 kW requirement configured?
Send the equipment list with the rated kW and the starting method of the largest motor. We then confirm the engine model and alternator frame that covers the starting current, and set the enclosure and panel around the installation.
Are spare parts easy to obtain after the warranty?
The engine family is produced in volume and its consumables circulate widely in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. On any enquiry we can state which service items are involved so you can plan local stock.
Can the set run unattended?
Yes, when it is ordered with automatic start and an ATS interface. Tell us whether an operator is present and whether remote signals are needed, and the panel will be specified for that arrangement.
Do you supply 60 Hz and 440 V builds?
50 Hz at 1500 rpm and 400/230 V is standard. 60 Hz at 1800 rpm and 440 V three-phase are produced on request; state the destination country and the required supply arrangement.
What are the MOQ, delivery time and payment terms?
These depend on the rating, quantity, destination and payment method, and are set out in the quotation. Give us the quantity and the port and we will quote against your requirement.
