Site power where there is no building to put it in
Containerised sets are chosen for the sites that have no plant room: a quarry bench, a temporary works compound, a mini-grid in a region the grid has not reached. The practical problems are always the same three. The set has to survive weather it was not built indoors for, it has to arrive with everything needed to run, and it has to be serviced by people who are on site, not visiting from a workshop.
These units answer that by treating the enclosure as part of the machine rather than packaging around it: the canopy carries the doors, the air path, the exhaust outlet and the lifting points, and the control panel is reachable from outside.

What matters when the set lives outdoors
- Doors and panel are positioned for a site technician. The panel, filters and service points are reachable from outside, so routine work does not mean opening the machine up in the rain.
- The air path is sized for the destination climate. Louvers and radiator are set against the ambient at the site, which is the difference between a set that holds its rating and one that derates.
- The enclosure is transportable by container. Container builds are dimensioned so the unit can be shipped and moved as a container rather than as an over-size load.
- Fuel is carried inside the build. The base-frame tank travels with the set, so no separate day tank has to be fabricated on arrival.
- Automatic operation suits a compound without staff. With an ATS interface, the set starts when supply fails and reports the event at the panel.
- Larger plants can be paralleled. Where the load outgrows one unit, the synchronising option keeps the same enclosure concept.
The company behind these units
Jiangsu Qingzhiteng Power Equipment Co., Ltd produces diesel and gas generator sets in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, covering 3 kVA to 3000 kVA inland and 12 kW to 500 kW in the marine range. Container units, low-noise canopies, sets with ATS, parallel systems and remote monitoring are built in the same works, and groups are exported to more than 80 countries on five continents.
Production and release of a containerised set
- Rating, ambient and site conditions are agreed and the enclosure type is fixed.
- Engine and alternator are received and checked against the order.
- The set is coupled and aligned on its base frame.
- Cooling, fuel and exhaust circuits are completed and tested.
- Wiring is finished and the panel is checked against its drawing.
- The enclosure is fitted, the air path is verified and paint is finished.
- The unit is prepared for shipment and cased with waterproof cloth.
Comparable projects
Quarry and crusher site, Africa
Power was required far from any building in dusty conditions. A container build was supplied so the machine, fuel tank and panel were protected and could be relocated with the workings.
Telecom compound, Southeast Asia
The site was unattended, so the set was built with an automatic start panel and the enclosure was specified for high rainfall and humidity.
Mini-grid, Middle East
A settlement without grid supply needed a set that could be operated and serviced by local staff. Access doors and panel layout were arranged around the routine the operators described.
Buyer questions on containerised sets
Should I choose a container build or a separate plant room?
If there is no permanent building or the works will move, the enclosure carries its own weather protection and air path, which removes building work. If a plant room exists, an open-frame set with acoustic treatment may be the more economical answer.
Can the set be serviced from outside the enclosure?
Yes, the doors and panel are arranged so filters, the control panel and the usual service points are reachable without dismantling the machine section. Tell us who will service the unit and where it stands, and the access arrangement will be set accordingly.
How hot and how dusty can the site be?
Give us the maximum ambient temperature and the dust level at the site. The radiator, air path and filtration arrangement are then specified for those conditions instead of a temperate default.
Can several container units run together?
Yes, with synchronising control, which is common on mini-grids and large compounds. State the intended number of units and their ratings at the enquiry stage.
What are the MOQ, lead time and payment terms?
They depend on the rating, enclosure type, quantity, destination and payment method and are stated in the quotation. Send the site conditions and the port and we will quote on that basis.
The silent type sets and the canopy range cover smaller enclosure requirements, while the parallel synchronising control system is the option for multi-unit sites. See the full product range for other build forms.
Describe the site conditions with the enquiry
Tell us the required output, the maximum ambient temperature and dust level, whether the site is attended, the fuel autonomy expected, the voltage, frequency and phase, the quantity and the destination port. That is what the enclosure and cooling arrangement are specified from.
